Dreading Methods

Some, I should say a lot, of mt dreads have been doing this too. I'm 4 months in, and they eventually form into little pebbly balls at the end of your dread, then the res of the dread starts to form. Once it goes through that stage, it starts shrinking in on its self and your left with a ziggy zaggy dread with blunted end that does hold the water more. I love how they look. just pay extra attention to them to make sure they are drying. Once I'm able ill post pics of their stages cause I have all stages on my head.

I usually just give them a good shake, sometimes spritz with plain water if they are poking out real bad. I work at Home Depot so I can't wear anything either unless it says Home Depot. And no bandanas either. Worst case I have a single wrapped elastic that ill loosely as possible pull them back for the day though I try and just give into the weird bed head. Try a good shake out and pat with plain water.

I wrap and bead and check the problem children more often to make sure their not doing bad things. Lol. Basically every time I shower I make sure the 3 I have in the back that want to be one are 3, and honestly I'm have to fuss with them less and less over the last few weeks/month.

Ah. Most of my stuff that I pitched were items that no one I know would use, or were mostly used up. Besides the brushes, but I'm funny about that. Used brushes are like used underwear. U don't share them.

So I just realized that today is my 4 month deadline. I promised myself when I started this that if I could go 4 months into this that the box where all my brushes and combs and sprays and other implements of hair torture (except my blow dryer and straightener, too many uses not on my head) where going in the garbage. Ill probably post pics and maybe a video of progress soon.

So, a friend if mine that I havnt seen in a few weeks did her "dread check" on me which basically is poking through my hair and counting how many new babies she sees. She commented on how absolutely baby soft my hair is. It's much softer than its ever been in her words. So she asked me what I changed. I've been using The Tea tree sample and Goddess bar, and used the lock magic a few times when I was going out. But the thing is, as soft as my hair is, I'm counting at least 6 new baby locks sprouting. So things are progressing, but is it good to be this soft? (I've always had overly dry frizzy hair, so really, could this potentially be bad?) or does this just mean my hair is becoming healthier?

She ships priority. So 3-4 days. I ordered mine on a Saturday, and even with a holiday weekend, got mine by thurs.
