Does your hair have to be completely locked up to wear a Tam? I think they are so cool looking and i wanted to look into buying one. My dreads are only two weeks old so i was wondering if i could already wear one. And if so, were have other people gotten theirs? Ohhhh also, i cant seem to find dread beads anywhere at all. So i was probably going to order them off the internet but is there any stores that sell them?

I washed my hair for the first time yesterday and it was a total success. Im very pleased, but my scalp is a little itchy cause i think i might have left some baking soda in accidentally. Anyways, i need some help how often should i wash my hair, and i live by the beach so i go often, is that mean wash it ever time after i go to the beach?

I just got back from the beach and ive heard tons of people say how swiming in the Salty beach water will help your dreads lock up, Im just confused a little cause i was nervous at first, this is my second time starting dreads due to swimming in a chlorine pool and ruining them i had to take them out, anyways i didnt know how it was going to end. But i got my hair wet with the salt water and i dont feel any different, this is week two or 13 days and i havent washed my hair yet cause im scared that my dreads will unravel oh also i dont have any dread shampoo or anything cause i havent gotten around to ordering it on the computer and i dont see it at any public stores. Please please please anyone help me.

I used TNR but now hearing all these stories of people doing neglect and how natural and great it turns out i think i should have done neglect. But im two weeks in so im going to see how my hair turns out this time.

Your dreads are very very gorgeous and i love how natural they look. I hope mine look that good one day. But your right, every one says that you just have to be patient and in time they will get better.

I have had my dreads for about two weeks and i really do love them. I used The Twist and Rip Method. But, i wanted to hear others opinions about the method they used and how it turned out.
