Some one reassure me please :)

Help! Save My Dreads

you should really be doing that once a week, and break not cut, broken hairs have rougher edges and will pull back into your dreads easier than cut ones with smooth edges. leave your dreads be they will strengthen up again, but try to separate once a week i find first thing out of the shower is easiest :)

Why is the community here so against maintained locs?

Dreading Methods

maybe your right, there is alot of product haters here, but i think everyone is open to whatever you're embracing, afterall it is just hair. might be different for white ppl, i know when i started out if i wasn't retwisting every week maybe even more than once a week they would not be considered maintained dreads, lol. thats why i decided to go natural, suits my personality more anyways :)

Dread Maintenance

so i wonder, as someone who used wax for a long time before finding this beautiful community... I read all of this info, and i thought about taking the extreme to get the wax out, but i just couldn't bring myself to putting that much work into it... sounds horribly lazy right, well i guess it is just that. :) . but, with quite a bit of growth and a half years worth of bs washes the wax that is left in my hair, and i know there is some(if not alot), what harm is it actually doing? and how much would it change the way my dreads are right now?

dreadlocks changing more than your hair

General Talk

My dreads have allowed me to focus my attention on what is more important to me now; love, tranquility, family, not necessarily in that order :p. they have taught me to embrace aspects of myselft that are unique and different instead of conforming to society, and i believe they have allowed the people close to me to accept and embrace those things about me as well because of my hair. they bring about opportunities that i never would have dreamt, and have given me the confidence to take control and shape each opportunity to suit me instead of trying to fit into a space created by someone else which it how i used to treat life. i <3 my dreads and my dreads <3 me.
