Help my dreads are far away from healthy natural dreads...

Help! Save My Dreads

the thing is that i feel cheated ,,, hahaha because i really thought crochet was the right way to go on with dreadlocks............ i`ll just wait and see what happenss.... maybe i can cut my crochet dreads when my natural ones (roots) get longer... i`ve being posting negative comments on"skillteacher"`s youtube vids.... that is were i first found crochet......i think crochet dreads aint dreads at all...... it`s just hair forced together.. :(

Help my dreads are far away from healthy natural dreads...

Help! Save My Dreads

So i got crochet dreads on February 2010,,, but i thought crochet was good so continuedmaintenance for over...4 or 5 months. i``m trying to recover from it. but have realized thatmy dreads are completely different from what they should be... i have 21 sections so mydreads should be thick but they are thin stiff and longer they should be (forced to "dread").....I think my dreads have to completely change (lenght, width, texture). so i`m trying to finger comb them out... :Sany of you guys know if it`s worth waiting???? or should i just cut em off and start over?????i`ve been thinking on adding hair conditioner... to see if they comb out...

How to combine dreads?

Dreading Methods

u can join them together with a bead or a rubber band.......... a bead should be better... but still your gonna have to give em some time.... good luck...

Dread Maintenance

Money and ignorance have fucked up the world really bad

the problem is that people believe they have to do this kind of shit to their hair to have great dreads (including myself before),, maybe if they knew about other methods they wouldn`t dare or wouldn`t choose to try this kind of things.....

so the battle is against ignorance and people abusing of ignorance to earn money ...... information should be provided to everyone ..... ...still maybe there is people who only want dreads for the look or for a short period of time .... so they need this kind of methods......

You can have dreads and be a med student in the US. One example is IU Medical school in Indianapolis Indiana. The only requirement is that you have to put them back, so they dont interfere with your work. Same requirement for any long hair. I know 2 med students at IUPUI (a branch of IU medical in Indianapolis) that had dreads and one who already is in his residency and also has dreads. IU in bloomington (where IU original campus is) is very open minded like that also, one of their most popular graduates is an ER dr and he has dreads to his mid back, had dreads for like 16 years. So that's one school for sure.
