what jobs do u people do

General Talk

I'm studying E.C.E too! :D In the fall I'll be placed to work in a daycare one day a week to develop my skills. Not worried about what my hair looks like, since it's all part of the program. I can worry about my hair when it comes to being hired, but hopefully I'll be able to be competent enough that my hair won't matter :)

I'm working on a degree of early childhood education so that I may start a daycare, that is my dream I love little kids and they are young enough at that age to not judge and maybe it can be instilled in them to be open minded and it may follow them thru their lives! The people I know personally or know OF near me, that have dreads, one works at a factory, one works as an artist/musician, and one works in our zoo with the kangaroos :)

Circle of Love For the Closue Family

General Talk

I don't understand, why is this church group protesting a FUNERAL? A children's funeral, no less. Their house caught fire. What is there to protest?

Is this "maintenance" alright?

Dread Maintenance

Brandon, I don't think you did anything wrong (I did the same thing, in fact!). It really helped me keep my sanity and not get overly frustrated with my hair.

Denise's Neglect/TnR Timeline ~ *UPDATED January 17, 2014*

Member Journals and Timelines

I love the idea you had to just make a few dreads on the top layer of hair and leaving the rest loose. That looks awesome! (Unless I'm blind and you're just not combing the rest, in which case, it's still awesome!)

Dread Products

idiotic. you're not going to get spiders in your hair unless you put them there or someone else does.

here's a one month video! i posted this on my channel awhile ago, but forgot to post it here. since this video was made, i've put in a couple of t&r sections from loose hair.

after next week, i'll be two months in and then i'll make another video :)

separating natural locks

Dread Maintenance

Totally all about the journey :)And great advice about not separating in the mirror, Dorothy! I'm gonna give that a try :)

i was doing the separating after my showers too. i think i'm probably doing it too often since i have more loose hair than sectioned hair. t&r doesn't work in my hair. i did a couple in my hair a few months ago and they fell out in a matter of hours. stupid soft hair:) its all about the journey, right? lol:)

I do my best to only separate after a shower, when my hair has had a chance to dry a teeny bit. The hair is weaker when it's wet, so it makes it easier to separate (gently, of course!). I've also still got a lot of loose hair from separating. I've been taking some of it and doing a little t&r to keep things in order.

I'm a month and three weeks in, though. You're a lot farther along than me! :P
