I do with a on my back! Or should I say toddler he will be 2 in about 2 weeks! I am trying out carries with our woven wrap because we will be going to the zoo hopefully for his bday. And that is 4+ hours walking around with him on my back! We have used the ergo carrier last couple times but hoping I can get a more comfortable carry with the wrap...
Thank you Mindy! I was too before I got this one! Now I am just trying to figure out how to make it work! I can't seem to get him high enough on my back yet. We start out good but by the time I have finished the wrapping he is lower on my back again... I hope you are able to find one for yourself sometime soon! <3
This is a beautiful pic! I'm dying to try a woven wrap <3
I was just going to list TBW ( http://www.thebabywearer.com/ )for s spot to look for used wraps! That is where I got mine! :D But there is also this FB group as well!

And this group is fabulous for advice and just chit chat too!

Spots corner is great too. Especially for used diapers! :D And a babywearing group is probably your best bet for finding something you like!!
Britany those leashes really upset me. I know everyone is different and there are different circumstances but the human race has made it this long without them. If you need your baby safe the best way, if you can is in a carrier! Unfortunately people get offended by us trying to help and most of the time never try the new options.
I don't want to be done Ixchel. But as of now we can't afford it financially. And I have also had 2 horrible birth experiences... So much so that there is a huge part of me that is even scared to ever have another baby. But I am not ruling it out, my children are my world.
And oh yea I still use the ergo everyday. Just trying to learn the wrap. It is hard when the ergo is so easy and quick to grab the wrap though!
try http://hyenacart.com/stores/Spots_corner/ search for sling ( i think that's how i got the most results) they have a lot of used ones flowing in & out & I found our wrap for about half price but brand new only opened & tried on! It is hard to find a specific type if you have your heart set on one, but sometimes you get lucky & find what you needed or something similar.
I want one of these slings soooo stinking badly! But I can't locate one anywhere for a decent cost... Thy are absolutely awesomish and this pictures says it all! :D <3
thanks for all the wrap info
I'm still learning lots as well, we wore our first but didn't have the best carriers & wraps for it. I'm trying to get to a local babywearing group to try out some of the more expensive wraps & see what I like before I buy. http://www.thebabywearer.com/forum/index.php has been pretty helpful figuring out some of the brands & carries. I think I need the local group to help me figure out sizing on them, it gets kinda confusing to me.
Are you done having babies? (no pressure to answer if you are unsure!) & are you still hanging onto the ergo as an option?
Thanks Emily!
cute!
This is a Ellevill zara size 6, the color is curry. I really wanted a different color that is my fave but I couldn't afford to buy it brand new. They are NOT cheap! So this was the only nice used one I came across that was cheaper.
There is a lot of learning with the woven wraps and I am certainly not there yet. So for now I guess the ergo is more comfy for me. For my munchkin though he LOVES this wrap. I just haven't been able to get him high enough on my back yet. I am hoping with time I will get it because I think there could be some really comfortable carries with this thing (and there are SO many carries, although the bigger the baby the less the options). But if I don't getone figured outbefore our trip I will be going with the ergo. Ergo is so easy on and off. Wraps not as much!
But the weight limit on some of the woven wraps is much more then an ergo too. I think I read these guys can hold up to 100 pounds. :O I have actually seen mothers hang them from cielings to help break them in and sit in them like a hammock with their kids! Which actually is another good point. A lot of expert baby wearers say used are even better then new wraps as they don't need any "breaking in".
And yes baby wearing makes me want to have more babies. xD And he does love it!
what type of wrap is that? & how to you like it compared to the ergo? (looking for a new carrier/sling/wrap for back/toddler carries)
love wearing the babies & he looks happy about it
