Welcome. I guessing you've had he talk and done the research to find out that crocheting is the second worst thing for locks, after felting. It's even worse than wax.

welcome babas right and if u did crochet all those years the damage would be pretty severe by now

nothing can be donne to repare them only to stop it from getting worse by tossing the hook in the trash

Welcome. Out of curiosity, did you only crochet in the very beginning, to get started? Or do you crochet regularly? I only ask because crocheting is the second most destructive thing that can be done to locks. it does actually help them mature. It only rips hairs into smaller and smaller pieces, making locks weak and brittle.
