Trina, I love listening to people that truly live life and they live true to themselves. My husband and I are working towards that soon. It sounds funny to "work towards" shedding everything you own andsimplifying, but it is harder than one thinks. It is what we dream about. We have our 17 year old at home still and he would have nothing of it, so we have to wait a bit longer for that leap of faith ; )
@Kathleen oh I know! There are many artists out there like this trying to live and do what they feel passionate about. I think the art keeps them alive!
He is the kind of guy I would have loved to talk with for several hours about life and art. There are a lot of great artists out there that just go unnoticed. Not sure of many people know of him. But of course I am sure he could care less. Which is my attitude towards my own art. I create because it keeps me tuned in the our Mother Earth.

Great African American Artist! He was homeless and made wire sculpture to survive. Very touching and inspiring story. He is no longer alive.
