Welcome. You won't regret starting naturally. It's the healthiest and most rewarding method. Many of mine formed that way. If they weren't so mature, I'd love to start over completely naturally
No problem And your right, I bet you will save a ton. But you should buy a tam and some good shampoo for the journey. The tam will last forever, and the shampoo is just better for you. Try thishttp://shop.dreadlockshampoo.com/ Or you can use the BS/ACV mix. Just type that into the search function and you can find out how to make it. It's chea[er, but more labour intensive. Having said that, i use the BS/ACV, myself.
Welcome! Great choice on going natural. Just wash regularly. For not, that can be every day or second day, but as the begin to form you only want to do it 1-3 times per week. Let the itchiness of your scalp be the guide for washing. Other than that, separate when the sections get bigger than one square inch. You can't go wrong. Your hair knows what to do. Have a great journey and don't get discouraged by the mess in the early months.
Welcome
