Welcome. Wax is extremely unhealthy for your scalp and hair. A good healthy shampoo won't fix that problem. All wax does is creates an illusion of locks. Because it hardens, it makes them feel more mature, but the hair is still not tangled any more than it was the first day wax was applied.
Wax is a hydrocarbon, which means that the only way to wash it out is to use a detergent. And because it's in your hair and trapped there, it requires a lot of scrubbing and time. Normal soaps won't get wax out.
As far as shampoo's go... Dreadlockshampoo sells the best. Dr. Bronners is good if you have soft water. But won't rinse out well in hard water.
wax is a scam it only glues hair togerther to sorta look like dreads while preventing hair movement needed to actualy dread (hence why they can get u back every few weeks to retighten..wich will make u go bald) wax never washes iut it can survive 10 years of washing it traps dirt and water and causes them to rot and stink
