I was looking over the dreducation series and when I got to the tnr lesson I realized that this is not what I did to my hair originally nor is it what I do to my children's hair now. I just twist and after the hair grows together I go in and pull the dreads of my children's hair apart so that they don't turn into one huge super large dread. So I just wanted to make that correction!

It's been a year since I shaved off the dreads that you see in my profile picture. I did grow an Afro and my friend put a texturizing kit on it and it came out uneven. I just took the advice of some members here and removed the rubber bands from my hair that I put in about a week ago to try and bring the texturized hair together and so I am going all natural from here. I originally cut the ones in my profile picture because they weren't looking the way I wanted them to with my twist method. So I will post pictures and keep you guys updated on this natural journey. Honestly, I feel better and more free already! I also have decided to stop twisting my kids dreads and let them go natural. Theirs really look good. But you can tell that my twisting has caused some damage. I will keep you guys updated on their progress as well!!! Thanks for the support!
How long have you been loc'd?
