Horse Meat scandal uk and Europe, Vegetarianism is being seen as the way to go!

Hi guys,

Im sure many have heard about this meat scandal over here in the Uk. I'm just so glad for the most partvegetariansince the summer (I still eat fish). Horse meat has been found in burgers!

But since the news broke in unvealing this, People are speaking out about vegetarianism and giving a platform to discuss the wider areas of it such as environmental issues through farming, Co2 output and water usage. On fact from the article states that in the US;

" a Cornell University study established that 800 million people could be fed with the grain used to fatten up US livestock ; the majority of corn and soy grown in the world is now set aside for cattle, pigs and chickens."

I cant help but think for many this is a blessing indisguise, maybe this is the wake up call our society needs to begin a move away from the 'meat addiction' and towards a healthier human and ecological relationship with our world and all thats in it..
