I starded my journey five months ago. The pic was taken about a week ago.

For me dreads are a spiritual journey I've wanted to make for a very long time. Workplace standards kept me from it.

My influences in my decision are Christian, Hindu and Celtic. I guess it doesn't really matter since dreads have such a varied history . But I feel it's the most natural, spirituality committing way to go.

That said, my experience so far seems to be moving at a snail's pace. I found this website and started reading.  Today I read that if you lived in an area with hard water, which I do, and use KnottyBoy, which I will continue untill I get the dreadlockshampoo I just ordered, I could actually be leaving buildup in my hair - which slows the process.

I look forward to the process speeding up!
