You can get jojoba at almost any healthfood store. I know whole foods and trader joes sells it. Eagle has a great website somewhere here with awesome deals on most all oils. I know they sell it too

Aloe isn't going to be harmful. But it may be too conditioning even with your textured hair. I'd first recommend the soaps from dreadlockshampoo.com. They are outstanding. if you notice that you still need more conditioning, try jojoba oil before aloe. Jojoba is the closest oil you can get that is almost exactly the same type of oil your scalp and skin produces naturally

Welcome. Aloe is extremely conditioning, so if you use it, don't use it often. it'll only help to slow down the process. And NEVER use lemon juice. Lemon and lime juice are citric acid. It's not a strong acid on the scale of strong acids, but it's more than strong enough to seep into the hair shaft and begin to break down your hair from the inside out. When you see people lighten their hair with lemon juice, that lightening is how the damage shows up. No matter how pure you use it, it will only work to make your hair brittle and weak

Welcome. Listen to Eagle about palm rolling. If you don't do it much, it doesn't create any lasting knots. It just makes them look neat for a few hours. If you do it enough to see progress, it will severely damage your locks. I did it for the first 2 weeks and 6 years later I am still trying to fix the damage. I posted a video on my page showing what the damage will look like over time
