Just got to see your 5 month pictures!!! Heather, they're doing soooooo good!! Kinda cool perspective to see back to the beginning, and really how far they've come! The loops look awesome, the sections look awesome and you look beautiful!!! :D
ah. yah the soak didnt work for me, i had to apply it after i rang out a lot of the water and then squeezed it in a towel to get the rest of it out lol. i just used about twice the amount of salt i read about on here and sprayed it on to half-dry hair, you get a big improvement if you do it that way. if your hair is all wet it will run out rather than stay where you want it. for me when i do it, its not strong enough if it doesnt leave a film of salt on whatever i spray it on

i do a sea salt soak about twice a week. i mix up sea salt and water and just pour it over my head in the shower. i don't rinse it out. when it's dry my hair definitely has more texture. it really hasn't help with the knotting though. i'm wearing my tam more often too but that doesn't seem to be doing much either. i guess its just a waiting game for me.
theyre looking great! have you ever tried a sea salt soak/spray? mine were going slow too and i started spraying them with a strong sea salt/water mixture with a spray bottle after every shower and got an explosion of knottyness. there are a few recipes for the soaks and sprays scattered around the site
