woah, feeling a little overwhelmed learning how to Navy this site.::deep breath:: well..blogging is a good a start as any right?

here goes:

I am lucky to have friends and family who support my choices but the fact my mother hates dreads can be very discouraging, I was asked to be the made of honor at a wedding, and the bride doesn't mind my dreads but did say I should take them out to appease my mother so she (the bride) wouldn't have to relax on any of her demands (my mother is assisting her financially)....i'm not sure which of us is being a bigger brat lol ;p I also have gauges (only 8g) but since I put time and effort into both I am really not into the idea of giving up either. I guess i joined this site for a little extra support and inspiration. Will be posting pictures today. Seeing as I will be working on how to "style" them for the wedding i'm sure there will be a few pix...I'm not excited about this,i like to let my wonky gals do as they please but I made a commitment to the bride....so i sha'll do as requested.

any tips how to cut down on frizz would roooock!

these are pix of them slightly damp, freshly shampooed a few moments ago

^my baby dreads acting up just in time for a picture^

Very, very cute! Your baby dreads look awesome, but I am partial to curly dreads. See my pic's. Lol! How long ago did you start them because they don't look that new. Mine are only almost 3-weeks. I heard that the frizz is all part of it. I have a halo of frizz all over my head including each baby dread. As for the wedding, I could imagine you could fix your hair up VERY CUTE! Get someone who is open minded and creative to do it for you, not someone with an attitude. As for your mom not liking them and others giving their reasons for you not to dread it. Don't let anyone keep you from being who you are, especially when it does NOTHING to hurt anyone. Your gauges and your hair are on your body and part of you. They belong to you and no one else. They reflect who you are, not who anyone else is. So I say, keep both and enjoy your life!

clicj foeums post in the forums theres 28 catagories 1 is emotional suport this should go there then theres styles section with posts about wedding styles

now explain to the bride that dreads dont "come out" they are pernenant and it took months to years to get to this point so to "take them out" for 1 notght destroys months to years of progress so its not fair to ask

tame frizz with aloe vera gel only pure aloe lily of the valley or lilly of the nile or something waut no lilly of the desert yea thats it makes a pure aloe

or buy a plant

if you explain that u cant just take out and put in dreads that they take months and months to develop she will agree its silly to even ask
