Hello friends

Introduce Yourself

I believe it is natural for our dreads to look that way. Mine is a month old. i can understand the worry cause I get it sometimes. But what I tell myself is... "It takes 2 years for my dreads to mature. So It is understandable why early dreads look messy and you have lots of loose hair." It takes along time in order for our dreads to look the way we want 'em to be. We just need Patience. Washing the hair regularly also helps... NOT COMBING is what causes the hair to dread; NOT WASHING will only cause hair to be oily, making the knotting harder than it naturally should.

I'm looking for detailed instructions to get rid of moderate-heavy dandruff

Dread Maintenance

Dreads form when you stop combing your hair. So, there is absolutely no sense in not washing ones dreads. as it is usually the reason why we get dandruff.. Our scalp is not clean enough.. sometimes, shampoo residue makes the scalp itch. Leaving white stuffs as well on our scalp. Rinsing well after every wash is good for the scalp. Clean scalp prevents dandruff from forming. As for heavy dandruff, what you have is great... use those and keep your dreads clean. :)

What are your reasons for Dreading?

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

At first I was simply fascinated by the look of it. That was 10 years ago. But a year ago I understood why hair dread or knot in the first place; That's because that is the Way Of The Universe. Hairs naturally dread. So, dreadlocks actually is Man's commune with nature. I started my Dread Journey for spiritual reasons. A perfectly straight and combed hair is SOCIETY'S standard of what is beautiful; and not Nature's say. Having my own dreads is like coming home to me. Coming home to nature...
