I've been doing the natural/neglect method for a little over a year now and the back of my hair has come along very nicely, the sides have started but are taking a little longer and I've tried sleeping on the sides of my head to push the progress along. I was thinking about what could be the cause and I was wondering if tying my hair back when i take a shower to keep them from getting wet is the problem. Any advice is welcome and appreciated. Thank you in advance.
ok i'll give that a try. thanks

well stop using so much hot water or at least finnish with a cold rinse
if your using baking soda you should be using acv too or at least know what it is and whento use it
acv-apple cider vinager
baking soda is alkaline
hair acidic
acv acidic
but
oily hairs too acidic
dry hairs more towards the alkaline/nutral side
so
after using baking soda your hair gets more alkaline
you want it between 5 and 5.5
too acidic u get more oily
too alkaline too dry
stop using hot water try luke warn to cool
and
finnish with a cold rinse
if you need to remove oils buildup hot helps 1st then cold
experiment with diferent temp and using acv verses nit using it
andif u have hard water dont use bronners at all

soaring eagle said:hard water/ if so skip the bronners complrtelu]y see if that helps
bs without acv wil make u less oily
what about temp
hot removes oil then a freezing xcold rinse sals the pores shiut so no oil pumped iut

I'm trying the air dry method to drying my hair so the only thing I do is shake it as dry as possible and then let it do the rest, but my hair gets really greasy and oily when I do this, it even hardens and feels like I have gel in my hair in the front and sides. I was just wondering if there's something I'm doing wrong or something else I need to do. All information is welcome and very appreciated.
i've tried the air dry and it makes my hair feel really greasy when it drys is there any way to prevent that or am i doing something wrong?

best way shake it out (like a dog_) then go sit in the sun (if warm out) if u must blow dry do it in quick sahort bursts while moving around quickly sitting in front of a fan helps too
alright thank you so much you've been a lot of help.

i can't wait man what about drying it? sorry about all the questions haha. i usually use a towel but i don't rub my hair with it i just try to soak up as much water as i can then i'll use a blow dryer for a minute or two then let it air dry the rest of the way.
