Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Anyone else have issues with baby dreads catching on zips/velcro with clothing around the collar area particuarly??

Is it cos they are on the frizzy side with being newand this frustration will subside once they start to lock up?

Or does anyone have any tips on getting round those pesky littlevelcro hooks?!?

Part-sectioned TnR - work in progress

Dreading Methods

My hair is uber-long (like below my waist) and have started to Twist n Rip from the back, but it will take me aaages to do my whole head....

From a weekend's effort I have 4 done. My sis has sectioned the next row for me, butis it best to finish one down the whole length (this takes two evenings!)or do an inch worthof each sectionfrom the row, just to get them started?

My question is can u sucessfully leave some hair un-dreaded while the process is going on underneith? I'm also having to wear my hair (and new dreadies!) "up" for work, but don't want them to be harmed in the putting-up process eg in clips and bobbles. Advice =appreciated!

Never thought I'd say this but I want more loops and bumps!

General Talk

I am 9 months in with v long and skinni t&r deads, they are just begining to loop, but mostly at the roots, wonder if that will continue down or is it just cos the movement is at the roots? Anyway, I'mloving exploring new ways to wear them up at work which has inspired a great number of conversations to educate folks in the way of the dreadness:-)
