sea salt?

Dread Maintenance

thanks guys i dont think i could leave it in my hair for longer than that anyway it gets really dry and i dont really notice much of a difference with it either i have curly hair and i have been washing my hair as much as i normally would and that seems to be helping more than anything elsei was gonna go natural but i have not combed my hair in years and they never started to form on there own so i sectioned them a bit and did the t & r bit just to get them started but now they look pretty good and there starting to knot up really good after only a few daysThanks again guys especially soaringeagle you have given nothing but sound advice from day oneenjoying the journey~elroy~

a few quick questions

Dread Maintenance

hey elroy here just wondering if my dreads will seperate on there own if its to thick and wants to be two different dreads also i was curious i started my dreads this time with the twist and rip method and i have them in pretty good knots so far and they were tight to the scalp a few days ago now near my scalp is getting really loose but the rest of the knot is solid will the hair dread all the way to the scalp eventually?

Thanks ~Elroy~

Does long hair lock faster?

General Questions

patience is one of the best things you can learn from having dreads and all the remarks and looks you get help you to learn patience and understanding too because you can bet your bottom dollar alot of people probably wont like them but stay positive and hang in there for the long haul its worth it in the end this is the third time i have had dreads i just got them started and they look rediculious and are quite short but by the time they grow out to a good length the will be nice fatty dreads!

General Questions

there gonna poof when you wash them until they really start locking up you can try to spry some sea salt on them that might help them lock up a bit faster

back combing

Dreading Methods

I am excited to dread my hair again but i have enough patience to wait until it gets to a good enough length after all dreads are all about time. so i have about 5 1/2 in of hair and i want my dreads to span most of my face does anyone have an idea of how much my hair will shorten after back combing so i know how long to wait before starting?

thanks all ~Elroy~
