help dreads thinned out!

Help! Save My Dreads

They are like so thin, I can put my finger through the root of the dreads. Also I was wondering, do the way your dreads are parted matter to you guys? That's one of the reasons I was going to cut them because they are parted all unevenly and what not.

help dreads thinned out!

Help! Save My Dreads

I don't want to cut them off and start over. I've been growing them for about a yr and a half now, and about a month ago I got some cornrows. And since I was told not to wash my hair for like 3 months they were dry and brittle, the cornrows thinned like 10 dreads all over my head they were fairly thin ones anyway. What should I do????? And yes I was getting them retwisted but I'm not anymore, haven't had them retwisted in 3 months anyway

couple questions help

General Questions

1. Ok by natural you mean the neglect method? Don't the dreads be all different sizes and everything?2. And where do I go to get them started if not a loctitian or salon? The backcombing method looks cool, I was thinking of trying that. Because, the neglect method is not for me I don't think. I want nice even dreads. Correct me if I'm wrong

couple questions help

General Questions

Ok thanks a couple more questions1. What methods are natural, because if I get twist aren't they going to have to use beeswax or gel or something which I don't want2. If I don't retwist how do I keep them from forming together?3. How often do I moisturize

couple questions help

General Questions

So I've been growing these for a year, disappointed to say the least. Long story short I'm cutting these and starting over.I'm a black male 19 years oldI started them with plats, havin them retwisted every 2 weeks - a month sometimeUsed beeswax the first month then black styling gel everysinceI've heard so many myths a couple being that gel is the best to use, I shouldn't wash my hair which I think messed them up the most, last being I should have em retwisted every 2 weeks. I want some thick nice dreads, good looking ones you know nice and even, even though they are dreads they are not going to be but so perfectMy questions are since I'm starting over is1. What method should I start them with this time?2. What should I use to start them other than beeswax or gel3. Should they be retwisted, if so how often4. What should I use to keep them greased you know, so they don't get brittle and dry and breakoff like this time, which is the reason I'm cutting them. I have like 6 breaking off in the front of my hair, and others all over my head thinning out. I've also done cut about 5 off due to them breaking off. How's this avoided?Me and 2 of my friends started our dreads the same time, both of theirs are noticeably longer than mines. I searched the forums but none of the answers were specific so I decided to start a discussion.I'm Montray everybody, nice to meet everyone thanks for all the help in advance
