my 17 month dreads and I really enjoy having them

General Talk

Why do people think that's ok?

It's like when you're pregnant and people touch your bump *shudder*

middle-aged newbie dreadhead

Introduce Yourself

Hey, I'm a 36 year old single mum from the UK, I started my introduction post here .

I've been chatting to Amanda over there too LOL

Butterfly, have you also considered just wearing a wide headband? It doesn't have to made from wool - you could crochet or knit one from cotton.

My teen kids (aged 19, 18, 16 & 15) and all their friends think I'm cool - I have 10 tattoos, facial piercings and now my hair is going through dreadlocks (it's also surprisingly, a neutral colour - it's usually blue or purple LOL)

Enjoy the dreading process :D

Thank you so much for posting this thread - I've just hit day 5, my hair has gone quite curly from not brushing it and I'm at that UGH stage.I'm just tying it back at the moment so it doesn't do my head in too much!Salt spray is mentioned in this thread somewhere - can anyone tell me if I just spray it in and leave it, or do I massage it in or something? Thanks.I think I'll start a dread page on my blog and do regular updates like you have here, so I can look back at the progress!
