Partings

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I didn't do forced sectioning, this is how my hair naturally fell, I stopped brushing for a few days then I backcombed the tails that had formed.

I look forward to being able to flick it about LOL

Partings

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Before dreading, whenever I washed my hair, it would part naturally down the middle (more or less) and now my dreads are too as I have done them naturally (with a bit of backcombing to encourage them along)Will this look stupid? Will I be able to flip locs any which way like I did with my hair?I'm still in the Sideshow Bob stage, should I try to train some of the locs to lie a different way to break the parting up a bit? Submerging baby dreads

Dread Maintenance

I back combed my hair on Tuesday, my head is getting a bit itchy & I want to wash it.I plan on using the baking soda method, but was wondering if it would be ok to submerge my babies rather than just pouring a mixture over.In case you're wondering, I have a bad back & can't bend over the bath to do this & I'm in the process of having a shower fitted so a bath is my only option. I CAN pour it on if necessary, but I'd rather not....

Dreading Methods

I stopped brushing sometime last week, I started using salt spray last weekend, I backcombed on Tuesday, spray saltwater on nearly every day.I am now having to start separating at the roots to stop them all dreading together

UK Mum going the dread route

Introduce Yourself

Thanks, my friend in Southampton said she'll take it for me and I see her quite regularly.

It's not the first time I've had this problem, drives me bonkers!
