So I would like to prevent congos and other messy situations .. I'm aiming for nice thin dreads .. I've been keeping them separated by pulling them apart when they start to try nd turn into one .. Would beads help or peyote sleeves?Maybe a dread band wrap I was thinking .. ?- thnk uu fellow dreadieees

Baking soda & essential oils ..K so I haven't tried washing my hair the dready wayz yet .. Im gonna mix it w a gallon of water but how do I do the washing part? Like soak it n a bucket or pour it on my head n the shower?Lol thnkx for any helpful feedback

I decided I'm going to try out a method posted by soaringeagle which is baking soda method .. Ingredients to mix up this is uhmm :1/3-3/4 cups of baking soda1 gallon of water10 drops of tea tree oil20-30 drops of Rosemary nd lavenderPour on, soak for 10 mins, rinseGonna try it outI'll get back to u on that

I think I might touch my hair too much right now !It's like impossible not too .. I have been dreading just for about a month nd half and it's hard to not mess with it or look n the mirror nd try separating em .. How often u think I shld separate ?

I try not to touch my hair, which is almost impossible because I'm so fascinated by it. I definitely don't comb my fingers through it, just pull apart sections.

Around beginning of february I stopped brushing my hair .. Underneath my hair a dread wAs forming. Last year I thought about doing dreads. I thought about the different methods. Was thinking of getting a starter kit nd backcombing my hair. The advantage of that for me was I could control it better u know the cute skinny dreads.. Then I didn't wanna over fabricate my hurr so went w the natural method. I still wash it but less and without conditioner. Also i use tea tree shampoo. Gonna try out baking soda to clean it just need to get the supplies nd mix it together .. I'll let u know how that goes ..Keeping my bangs. Other dreads r forming chaaooXD
