Sour smell!

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

So, the last two days my hair has smelled sour, like an old towel.

I've tried washing, and its still there.

I use BS/acv.

Obviously my problem is going to bed with wet dreads probably?

I just don't have a good time to shower. I go to school 7-2:45, then work at four or five and don't get home till 10:30. its hard to find a time when i won't be sleeping or they won't be thrown up in a ponytail!

I'm going to try, though. Any way to solve this smell before it gets too settled? What should I do? thanks!

Questions about washing, etc

Introduce Yourself

So i'm new to this. I've wanted to dread for about two years now, and just finally started.

I began with neglect, then started twist n rip. I've done about half of my head, i think they are coming along alright. I can see the twists start to loosen though, and of course the roots are still loose (i know this is normal)

So as for washing, am i doing it correctly?

I shower about every other day or so, and use baking soda twice a week. i let my baby dreads get wet other days... should i do this or no? as for baking soda, i use about 1 tbsp diluted in 2 cups of water. and leave in to soak for about 5 minutes. then rise out. I have ACV but haven't tried it... not sure if its needed/how to do it exactly.

I started to notice some dandruff, and never have i had dandruff in my life.

Just some helpful tips would be nice :)

thanks!
