Dreading Methods

im not lookin for full dreads yet but at least some sort of progress....you know a few tangles here and there some kind of clumping. my hair is about 5 inches id say mas o menos a few. should I go for any kind of wool hat or i mean how long inbetween bs washings or even wetting in the first place. I know its hard to say cuz all hair is different but im just wonderin a bit ya know?

My friend with curly hair never gets tangles because the curls keep her hair shaped specifically leading to minimal movement to cause tangling. Also some curly hair has really smooth shafts.

I dont think I am too jaded on the idea of the natural method....just let it happen and see the growth. Well ive been doin the natural method tips...ie dont comb dont wash too often and all tha jazz for almost 3 months and my hair is still about the same. i have very wavy curly hair thats pretty thick too. Am I doin something wrong? i surf a lot so i get salt in there everyday almost and i do a baking soda was little less than once a week. Anyone got any ideas?
