I know I shouldn't worry but I am....I try to just be care free about it but i want them to be healthy AND look good. I appreicate any advie...so far S.E. you have been a very big help in my approach in my loc journey...thank you

dont worry so much

just if they get too dry add moisture thats all thats the only racial thing that matters is your hair tends to be too dry while we need to dry ours out to dread faster

Mango and lime products are okay after your hair is already dreaded some, because of the of what's in them IMO you don't want to use them on young dreads. I know it has mineral oil and petroleum... Possibly. I used the spray I know they have a few other products. If you are going to use them use them sparingly. If you can acess something a little more natural I'd go with raw shea butter when re-twisting.

okay i have just started lockin (yay!!!) and I am about 2 wks in...I got the comb coils and they have already gotten frizzy n things (no worries though). Now my questions are:

1.what is the best thing to sleep with? (what type of material and any brand/website suggestion would be nice)

2. I want to have sort of smaller type dreads...maybe finger width...would i havethe problem of them falling out/off?

ummm...oh yea

3. mango and lime products? what do you think of them? if this is already a discussion a link would suffice.

also, don't know if this matters but i am african american.
