Introduce Yourself

I would recommend removing the wax... it just slows the process.

I have been finding lots of babies too, I love it! I left the back of my hair to just do it on it's own, and it's probably ahead of the t&r ones... I look forward seeing the progress after I wash, everything is sooo loopy and zig zaggy!

I let my hair section itself before doing anything, but when I did some t&r I never looked in a mirror, and I must have grabbed 2 sections on those 2. Seems like for the most part all the sectioning is fine, just those 2 were disagreeing.

Dread Maintenance

Thanks guys... I got one of them separated today with some coconut oil... I am going to just leave the other one be since it looks like it's working its way into 2, or maybe once its more loose I can try a little more.

Knottysleeves... ya, you're right, my hair just disagreed with those sections!

They were about 6-7 inches down from the root. I can tell that they are trying to separate cause the sections were huge. I think the t&r is still a bit tight, and they are just having a hard time loosening up. I only maybe could pull maybe an inch. I guess I will just wait it out, I think it's cause I just noticed not too long ago. I will post a pic tomorrow.

Dread Maintenance

So I have 2 good sized babies that were started with t&r about 3.5 months ago and it looks like they have been slowly starting to separate at the root and are about half way down to the bottom, I have tried to rip them (gently) the rest of the way down, but they don't want to budge now. Each section is dreading nicely (separately) so my question is should I just continue to rip them as I can, or will they eventually finish dividing themselves? Thanks guys!

Introduce Yourself

The other day I got the "OMG! Don't you have to shave your head when you don't want them anymore?!" My response was just simply that I am not concerned with that at this point in my life.

General Talk

I know this is an older topic... but I ran across it, and I am smiling today because me and my 3 kids are going to make cookies today, and they are super duper excited... which always makes me smile. On top of that, my husband just started an apprenticeship program and I couldn't be happier!

General Talk

So I stopped brushing and t&r almost all my hair, except the back 11 weeks ago... I can't believe how fast time is going by, and the progress. I would say that a stranger may look at my hair and say " WOW... what in the world?!" But I am proud and happy to say that I am a-ok with that. I have read so many people saying that this is a journey of not only changing your hair, but changing your outlook on life... I am now finding that true to me too. I just feel so happy lately about all the things going on in my life. I really think that it has to do with me learning to just be me, and not really caring what other people think. Very liberating. Just wanted to share that with everyone. :) Peace!
