Should be starting soon, still debating the best method for my hair.

Dreading Methods

Congrats on the 4.0 man..I was just going to let you know that I started mine the backcombing way and they did ok but as soon as i stopped doing anything to them they have been seriously doing alot better..and baking soda wash i have done twice so far..and seriously.awesome. its as if they start doing it on their own..they got a little stiffer and and actually feel like mature dreads already..I did have a few good ones before that tho. and since your hair is so long already I would recommend putting them up in a tight bun for work. and i didnt start mine untill I had been at my job a few yrs. and i went to work the 1st day with them and seriously have gotten nothing but good comments.. have had my dreads for about 6 months now..and they are shortening a little and they are doing wonderfully. But anyhow my first set i had I actually had to find a job with them and the tight bun worked..they had no idea I even had dreads then untill i took them down at work a few weeks after i got the job.. You should have seen their faces..haha It was hilarious..hope this helps good luck to you and your newbies. : )

So I started today! Thanks much to my fellow dread-head who goes by the username Personal Jesus (I don't know if he wants me to use his real name)! This is the only picture I have right now, so I hope you can see how well they turned out on their first day. I (but really him..) used the backcombing method to start these. Some of the larger ones may be pulled into two separate dreads, there's one in particular I'm considering doing this to, but otherwise I can't wait to see them mature!

ALSO! - Got a 4.0 this semester!
