If you keep them separated they should dread by themselves, but if you don't they will probably get eaten up by other dreads.

The first time I started dreads I had the 2 strand twist or plat done. It didn't work. She told me I had to put gel on each twist every day and sit under a dryer. Oh, and I couldn't get my hair wet for at least a month. That shit stunk, literally smelled like shit. Don't waste your time.

for months and months i had tips that were completely unlocked, in time they worked out, a few I messed with (crocheting) and they looked better instantly but left weird bumps over a longer period of time.but least your position isn't that terrible to be in
