some thinning dreads, should i double them, or hope they congo by themselves?

hey folks, looking for some help with my skinnier dreads-will they thin to nothing, sould i bring some together to make fatties, or just leave em alone? any advice would be much appreciated, oh im new here and funkin love my dreads!
