My TnR timeline - update at 25 months

Member Journals and Timelines

Wow! It's better that you found it now and took care of it. I think they still look beautiful :)

Mine are very similar to yours with the big lumps at the ends. I cut a small section off of one about 2 months ago because I found what I believe was a little chuck of soap stuck in there and I couldn't pick it out. It seems to me too that the lumps aren't really dreaded like the upper parts above the lumps. I was thinking that maybe when I did the t&r I did it too tight and the hair couldn't really move and just folded up on itself.

They're looking good! That about how my dreads looked around 6 weeks. The ones around the nape of my neck shrunk quick too. I think they're around 4 inches long now.

Thank you :) Yeah that's probably about how much they've shrunk. The one long one hasn't changed at all but after washing today it looks like the tip is starting to knot up a little

2 more. I had to have my 4 yr old take the pic of the back of my dreads. Not a lot of changes since the last update. A little more shrinkage, dreaded more at the roots. Seems like some of them have tightened up a little.

I washed more in the beginning too but since they've locked up more it seems like it takes most of the day to dry. Since our daughter sleeps in bed with us and I mostly sleep facing her (on my left side) I just figured it was from that. I'm glad my hair has locked up more towards the roots tho because for a while about 8 dreads in the back kept getting all matted together by the roots. I had to separate them a couple of times a day and sometimes that was a real pain.
