Using a ponytail when starting out...

Dread Maintenance

Thanks I will try that! That's normally what I do at home if I am working in the yard or on my VW but at work it's kinda hard to just leave it down... My girl was able to just leave her's down and I really like how they turned out. Best set she has had since we met! Paula said:
pulling the hair back into a pony tail will make the dreads be used to that direction. So when you put the hair down you'll get loops at the roots. mine are only a month but are used to being down and they look very strange when I try to put them up :/

If you need to do a pony tail, I suggest making it low and loose :)

Using a ponytail when starting out...

Dread Maintenance

I have always wondered and now that I am starting over on my dreads, should you use a ponytail holder when you are just starting out? I have had funny bends in my last set and was wondering if I should not use one so as to get a more full set. I usually use the natural way of locking but have always had to put my hair in a ponytail for work reasons. Should I not and just put my hair up in some kind of hat...
