Life Issues Facing Dreads

im comeing up on the end of my first term of colage and i need to get a job. im not making in by and well idk what to do about my dreads. getting work is hard enough and im a felon. i have been rolling the thought over of getting rid of my dreads in the hope of bettering my chances of a job. i know i shouldnt have to change who i am to get a job but in reality,.... well dreads are not going to help me any. i dont wanna get rid of them, i love them and they are just getting good. i thought about getting a wig,.... but idk i need a job really bad or ima end up in jail cuz i cant pay my fines. so idk. ne ideas about what i should do?

today is my 5 month mark. i cant believe how fast time hasa gone by w my dreads. and how much i have already learned about haveind dreads. it really is amazing. you find out alot about pple. how much pple really prejudge you based on aaperance and how just cuz u have dreads eveyr one thinks you smoke weed or do other drugs. not that i wish i could smoke weed but probation kinda niped that in the butt. i just think its funny how fast pple come to that assumption. but my dreads have proven to be a belssing in my life. i love them so much. i get a lil frustraded some times cuz im impachent and i dont like all my lose hair but i know in time they will find thir way into the right place. my dreads are making a good recovery form my advinture w a crochet hook. wish i would have known haw bad it was when i first got them but they are comeing around and getting much fatter yay i have some where around 28 dreads i think. i quit counting cuz they come and go. but ya thank you all ofr your help w every thing i have asked for. being the meth issue and my drug test which i passed so ya keep up the good work and thank you all

Almost 5 Months. Few questions!

Dread Maintenance

you know i habe a lock in the front of my hair that is the same as yours. its bigger on the end and supper skinny in the middle to root. what i did was just inter twine some of my loss hair up front into it and idk what makes it do that if its just the hair breaking or what im sure if u asked soaring eagle he would know exatly what caouseed it and how to fix it. as for progress around your ears. i have found mine are haveing a lil trouble too and i think it might have something to do w the oild becuasea behind your ears put out more oil than and you hari is aways rubbing on it. i found best way to help them out is to give behind your ears a good washing every day. as for the the back locking up faster than the front i think it may have something to do w sleeping on them. they get rubed more and also the oils on your face get on the front of your dreads more than the back. i dontk now if ne of this is right but its what iv noticed. as for not wanting to have them pulled back all the time cuz im the same way i get like a strechy head band and just pull them back out of my face. they are still free but out of the way and the mild friction helps w the root locking iv noticed. idk if all of this info is orthodox but it all works for me. happy dreading and good luck

ya its on its way. im on probation for 3 years. and im in treatment for drugs so ya lol. i have 35 months left

i have always wanted to do that but i couldnt because i have things holding me back, leagal things lol. but as soon as im off of probation im packing my bag and taking off accrost the country south to cali then east to ny i think. i live in oregon. if u do do that you should get ahold of me and we could meet up or something for a day or so while your in oregon. i cant leave the state but while your here i could show u some cool stuff if u want. id say go for it. its something i have always wanted to do but iv alwasy been held back by leagal shit. do it man

spank me then but u gataa come get me :-P and you know i threw my hook away along time ago. they are getting better. almso at 5 moths now

but yea they will trcovrer better if u give em time to recover (long time) conditioning will help loosen um
if u comb out u willlose too much hair (maybe 1/2)
so better to just let em go and heal

i crochet hooke the shit out of mine and i had the probelm w them beiing like pencil thin but i threw mt hook away and just let them be. i did it for about 3 months. and they got fat and softer. id say just give them time and they will be ok. they will get fatter trust me. mine were bad like really bad and they are on thier way to being ok just dont do it ne more lol. make dread balls for loss hair. and i find the more i wsh mine the bigger they get. idk if it really has ne thing to do w it but i wash my hair eveyr 2 days and they got soft and big. i only have like 26 or someting. some of them come and go. be paychent frined they will get better
