Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

So I have had my dreads for 6 months and I usually keep them pretty clean. I notice every time I wash my hair, though, my scalp has a bunch of white paste on it. Like, I have to sit and scratch my head forever to get it all off and my head is sore and red when I get out of the shower. Haha, I'm just usually such a clean person and I cannot figure out what this is! Is this a problem other people have? Is it just dead skin cells or residue?Thanks so much for your help!

Look, it's the same way religious zealots think THEIR way is the only way or hardcore vegans think THEIR way is the only way. There a billions and billions of opinions out there about billions and billions of subjects. For the most part nobody is entirely right. The fact that you think you are entirely right and your way is the only way is a very arrogant way to look at things. Yes, most of these other websites are just trying to sell sell sell and market a product. That doesn't make this website any better though. You're just trying to sell your way of thinking and you make anyone that doesn't believe what you believe feel inferior.

If you're going to put down other sites for being one sided you should stop being so one sided yourself.

I never used wax in my dreads because it just wasn't for me. I hated the consistency and I was always afraid the wax would cause me to break out. I feel like there are a lot of people out there that wax works for, though. Just because wax didn't work for some of you doesn't mean that it is the root of all evil. It's JUST A LITTLE WAX, seriously get over it. This site is filled with some of the most biased arrogant elitist bullshit.

None of you are better than anyone else because you did your dreads the natural way. Some people use wax , some people don't.
