That was really great that you shared your story with us...for lack of better way to express myself. Very interesting and informative too. Your dreads are beautiful. Do you have any cool ways of putting up/wearing your dreads that you might like to share with us. I am always looking for new styles for dreads. More pictures??This momma has dreads,Peace

My 11month dread time line

Member Journals and Timelines

I had meant to say that when I started my dreads the method I used was back combing, then left them alone to do their own thing. Lots of loops. I have a few congos going on too in there. I plan to wrap more in the near future with colorful embroidery thread.

Thanks for the compliments

My 11month dread time line

Member Journals and Timelines

Have been practicing putting my dreads up in the "Up do". I started with back combing and then just let them go on their own. Never waxing of course. I have had a number of old folks (60yrs plus) comment on how they just loved my hair. They are full of questions and I enjoy educating them on dreads and the care for dreads. I have had only good experiences with my dreads thus far. This momma has dreads and loving it!

peace

I started mine the same way. I love them. Mine went through the loop stage too, big time. They have settled down a bit. Tightening up also. Your look really nice. peace

I know its not about dreads but HELP!

General Questions

Hey Tom,

There are site on line with a great amount of info. Asking the little girl to go, go to the light, that she can leave this house, that it is your home now. Smudging with sage, in each room, in every corner of the rooms....this is all on line too. You can call your local paranormal research for additional help too. They want to help. You said negative energy...small girls usually are of a playful energy...not negative...you may have more than one spirit...talk to the paranormal groups about it. Do not mess around with it, you may open the door unknowing for more unwanted spirits to come in. Please keep us posted.peace

thanks, yeah other people have being saying they've seen a little girl in the house, and i was talking to the neighbor and she said something about a little girl dying in the house before i moved in, so I'm going to try and talk to them, it's mainly the back bedroom, which is the second largest so it would make sense for it to of been the little girls room. Thanks s.e! Peace brother.

What a great time line. Great way to show the changes, month by month glimpse. Mine have been doing the same, looping up here and there. I have wrapped many of the loops in colorful threads. I am going to un-wrap one to see how the dread is underneath. PeaceOH please keep the photo time line coming.

The veg Mex Lasagna sounds good. I made the regular meat lasagna about three days ago, have enough for a few more days in the freezer. We love it, it is always good on a winter night too. Beef stroganoff is next on my list of things to make. Pictures Pictures :-)

enjoy your family and this evening too

Hi Natural Womyn,

I made the quiche for our dinner and the cheesecake for work. I did cut a slice out of it first. It is just that my husband and I are alone now that the kids are all grown up and out on their own and not even in this state (Michigan). We can NOT sit and eat a whole cheesecake, way too much for us. I miss cooking for my kids...soooooo I over cook and take it into work. I work at a sporting good store, lots of young folks and they just love to work when I work...to see what I bring in for them. I enjoy all the complements too of course. I work there just to be around younger folks....remind me of my own. Anyway, enjoy your day and try making quiche...it is pretty easy. Let me know if you need a recipe or go online and do a search.

Peace from a momma who has dreads
