Rubber bands/TnR/Neglect

Dreading Methods

I have to agree with jessica and nicole on this one... Take a look at my day one pics and see if yours looked like that when you were done, mine havent lost any dreading and i'm hitting 2 months on wednesday. But this is not how my dreads looked when I have friends attempt to TnR the first time (they did more of a TnR and braid hybrid[the knots were more or less loops of hair, i really need to upload pics of this bore attempt]) so I came back and redid mine myself.I found a few small pulls with a good one to make sure everything gets down as far as it could go works best before twisting a bit again. I don't think mine have a braided look like most people think come with TnR.Goodluck

Back combing or Twisting and ripping?

Dreading Methods

you should take a look at my pics for some twist and rip, I did mine pretty much myself in just about a day and a half (this is including undoing some terrible braids that my friends did to "dread" my hair, obviously unsuccessful since I spent the next two days undoing and redoing myself) We just basically grabbed hair and went with it on mine and they came out pretty thick for the most part, I think I have around 40 or so but my hair is also pretty thin so who knows how yours will turn out. I'm just at two months and loving it, and I wish you luck on your new dreadies

Going to the ocean

Dread Maintenance

Hey everyone, just a quick question. I'm leaving for Miami tomorrow and going on a cruise Sunday. I still have baby dreads (4 weeks as of today) and was wondering if there's anything I need to do to them while I'm gone, since i'll be in water nearly 24/7. I know salt water is good but I don't want to really over do it if it could have some reverse effect. Thanks in advance, you guys/gals are awesome

Yesturday was a mixed emotion for me.

General Talk

Dude I know how you feel, I was in marching band for 7 years... and the only thing i hated about it, much like you, was the fact that we all had to be uniform... for you other guys not in marching, to all be identical. Girls had to pull up there hair, and i had curly hair so i had to put it in the hat as well so it didnt flip out underneath the shako. But yeah, hair can always grow back and you only get so much time with marching... so good decision
