Introduce Yourself

Thanks for the love, all. <3My dreads are a result of stringing beads in my wavey hair. I did not intend for them to dread at first, but a web of hair had formed beneath it all, and mini dreads began to form atop my beads as I hopped show to show without a second thought of vanity...lol! When I returned, I decided pull apart some of the web and just let the rest be...see what morphs, right.I miss those days...the early stages, where there is so much change as the dreads develop. Many wish for those days to go by quickly, but enjoy them, I say! You will not see so much change when your dreads have aged...just length...so enjoy each and every loop, funk, squiggle, knot, etc. Don't worry when you see them...it's all a part of the journey.

Introduce Yourself

Greetings*I've been here for a little while now, but a super slow 'puter and a new babe in the womb has sort of kept me from finding the time to more than just browse.New computer, new baby, and a toddler in preschool ='s a tadbit more time for visitin'!My dreads are coming to thirteen years now. They are a significant part of my life, as they are a journal of people, places, and things I have encountered along the way. I hope to share some of that journey with you, as I hope you will share yours as well <3I hope to see you around!~*Bless*~

Play any instruments?

General Talk

It is wonderful to see so much love for music here!I've been playing the didgeridoo for about 11 years now. It is my main source of meditation, as it lifts me to a higher place through circular breathing...and ohh that beautiful buzzzzzzz.I also like to play on my clay dumbek when I travel and a beautiful ashiko I am blessed to own. It was made for me by my friends at Slap Happy drums long ago after I lost my two djembes in a fire. They gifted it to me after I had gotten to play with it in our drum circle. What a glorious surprise! The sweetest thing about the drum is that it has an imprint of my friend Jesse's hand from when he was holding the drum while finishing it. He calls it an "imperfection" in the piece, but to me, it is a secret smile.Growing up in Hawaii, I learned to play the ukulele; however, I am not the best at it...lol! Even so, it is the perfect travel companion.
