Dreading Methods

I am an athlete (Cross Country, Wrestling and Track) so I kind of need to shower daily or I'd get nasty.. I understand though.

Would it be okay to lightly pat dry it with a towel to get the 'excess' water?

When I am getting a shower, and not washing my hair, is it allowed to get wet?

Dreading Methods

Could you give me a rough estimate on how long it would take for them to start dreading?

Dreading Methods

How would I go about natural dreads?
What can I do and what can't I do?

Combs?

Product?

Shampoo?

You said separate. What do you mean exactly?

Dreading Methods

I have been thinking about dreading my hair for a very long time. I know that there are a lot of different ways to get them like backcombing and twist n rip but I really like the natural method.

I was wondering what goes into all of these methods individually.

I have down my research and everything but I am unsure if I have been getting legit info because different people say different things.

So what do I need to do for the Natural way?

Twist-n-Rip?

Backcombing?

Anything else?

What about afterwards? Maintaining? Wax is bad?

Product?

Hair washing?

Maintenance?

Just tell me everything! haha

If you could, please give me the most detailed explanations as possible. I am leaning more towards the natural way but I don't know everything that goes into it. Thanks, guys.

Info: Caucasian. 16 (17 in a month). Blonde. Male. Very pretty hair (I get called Justin Beiber all the time). I wouldn't know whether to call it thick or thin.. It does grow very rapid though.

Will hair, nail and skin vitamins hurt my dreading process??

PS: I don't believe that my hair is quite long enough right now for any 'instant' methods. 4.5 - 5 inches
