I started them by keeping my hair as it was just not conditioned for awhile.then i took a metal comb and started to dread them, and then roll them.I didn't use wax because I read that you shouldn't use wax for dreads.I used rubber bands at the ends and at the roots so they didn't try to come undone either.

Introduce Yourself

Hello, I'm Tonya, and I just starting out on my dreads.about two months old.I have gotten horrible tips about dreads like don't wash your hair,it'll take years to form, yadayada.I recently added some friendship bracelets to a few of them, I have my face-frame out but the rest of my hair is currently dreaded.I'm wondering what shampoo's you all use?I browsed the forum and it seems like no one uses what i use.and it's worrying me.I use L'OREAL everstrong sulfate-free fortify system. it's 100%sulfate free, natural botanicals, and 100% vegan. I read online that it doesn't leave residue, i made sure of that of course.any home remedies to make my dreads happier?
