So a couple of years ago I started my hair in dreads.

Unfortunately many people in my life made fun of me, basically calling me nasty and dirty for wanting to "ruin" my hair. I even had one purposely ripped out.

Fortunately my life has changed for the better, and I left all those terrible people behind me! I now have a supportive man in my life who doesn't judge or hurt me, and I hope to grow and learn new things from this site. :D

Hi everyone,

Today I decided would be the start of something great- dreading my hair! It was very calming...twisting, pulling, twisting...!

I only did one for now, however, my love for it shows no bounds (if that makes any sense at all)! I was wondering if anyone can give me opinions on how it looks. Along with the RnT method, I backcombed a little bit where it didn't want to knot...not in too many places though, my hair tangles easily. I also don't plan on sectioning to much.

The first picture is me before I started, the second is the little guy behind my ear, and the third is more detail. It looks a little fuzzy, but that's okay, I love it.

I'm still having issues at the bottom, but since it is knotted fairly well all over, it should settle itself out.
