i started my dread journey a month ago, with one lonley lock. i watched it for about 3 weeks before adding another 16 (i've still got a bunch to do)...my hair is super straight, fine, and thin, but the oldest lock seems to be tightening up quite well. there is, however a good 1.5 inches of straight hair from the knot to the root. i did some with twist n rip, some with backcomb, crochet hooked most of them... and all methods caused a few loopy/straight areas to occur on my dreads. the ends are pretty straight too. is this okay? should i keep going? or wait and see what happens with the ones i have now? help. : )
