well i feel that if a person owns the company says things are or are not allowed then thats how it should be...however a manager has no right to decide on any of that with or without the laws we have in place today...

i think that if the government and people in general would take their nose out of other peoples business then we wouldnt have these kind of issues. you would go to one place they would say no dreads "oh no problem, the place next door doesnt give a crap if i have them or not" but in this case thats just an asshole your dealing with.. like SE said your pushing carts, not swinging 8 foot long dreads in small childrens faces as they eat. if i were you (and yes this would probably cost you that job) i would give them the finger and ask ur boss if they are having problems in the bedroom because he seems awful moody lately.

whatever you do dont lie to them though. if you really believe in a certain religion or something then all is well but dont tell them you have done something like taken some religous vow that you haven't. that would just make u more like them. trying to manipulate the world to get their way, just because they can.

yup ur a hippie. its not a bad thing, some people hate hippies. some of those who hate hippies are not even sure why they hate them. not sure why they would care really, i mean i couldnt live as a vegan..i tried to be a vegetarian just to say i actually attempted it. hated it, not my thing. but if it works for u then great.

i eat meat, i go fishing, i enjoy getting in a ring going a few rounds, i like watching things go boom, and im a tech junky. i still get called a hippie simply because of my hair people are fukkin goofy man

i got some of the crap from DHHQ or HQDBA ah whatever the hell that john/jon guys site is abreviated as. i knew what i was buying though i just really wanted to see the damage the hooks and needles and waxes and all that garbage would actually do. honestly yeah it done some damage, and im sure theres still a bit of wax in that dread that never came out but it wasnt like instant dread death........i think the guy that runs that site should be required to tell the truth about his products, but he should still be able to sell them regardless.i would not recommend his products to anyone who wants to have dreads for longer than 4 years ..and 4 years is pushing it a LOT

i have no idea how this will help your situation but i figured i would share lol

back when i was in highschool they once tried to tell me i couldnt wear a jacket that i had because basically it wasnt a prep jock prikhead jersy it was more of a biker meets alien battle suit thing..it was distracting, it was ugly and i supose if i wanted to i could have maimed a student with it however i wouldnt take it off and decided i would wear it daily from then on. i mean after all the short skirt prep girls were a pretty large distraction as well, and the roid rage jocks were just as dangerous( well ok maybe they were 2 stupid to be much a danger but ahwell) eventually they tried to expel me over that, so to really grind their gears i being white wore a shirt i printed up that said kill whitey and a black friend of mine came to school wearing swastikas they called us into the office to piss n moan at us a bit and order us to remove those shirts, so we did...i put on the swastika he put on kill whitey and we both went on a nice vacation lol...i guess my point is screw the school, screw conformity, screw authority....

i think when mine get long enough that i want to trim them i might try some of this crazyness on the ends im going to chop anyhow just to see what happens lol

a concert actually destroyed part of my dreads and then like instantly knotted a bunch of them lol..headbang crowd surf, jump off tall things..shower yourself in booz and soda and mud..it doesnt matter as long as nobody tries to rip your hair out and u clean it immediately after then its all good
