That a worry I'd have for them. kids might like locks, but they aren't exactly on a mature enough metal level to take care of them n their own, nor are they ready to take thecriticism that comes from others

I would NEVER put hot sauce on my head.

I worked in a kitchen for years and we used to pull little pranks on each other all in good fun. We had to wear certain slip proof shoes, that we left at work, so one of the pranks was to putcayenne pepper in peoples shoes. When you sweat or got wet it would react so strongly that you could feel the itch and burn through socks. I couldn't even imagine what it would be like on your scalp. When you try to wash it out you be in agony for days probably

lice is a concern, but to be honest, those little bugs don't like nappy hair. They usually avoid hair that they can't crawl around in easily. It's still possible, of course, if he's surrounded by others with it. I agree. Wait till the summer. If he still wants them then, I guess he's had enough time to think about it and not change his mind

I would just worry about how dirty little kids can get. I wouldn't want to have to wash them every day because they get so filthy playing outside. At our ages, we can play outside, but don't get nearly as dirty. We don't need a bath everyday. We don't get mud and dirt in places we didn't know we had anymore.

I would carefully explain the process. He might like them now, but in a few month, might get tired of them. It's the nature of kids to change their minds when they get a new idea. Hopefully he will be able to stick with them, but don't besurprised if he changes he mind. He might not like the itchy phases that we all go through. He might not be able to control playing with them and end up slowing down the process.

I don't want to try todissuade you. I just want to get my opinion out there, and help you make an informed decision. I personally wouldn't let my kids hair lock up until they, themselves, stopped combing and brushing.

Young is relative. I would never let my childs hair lock if they did not want it. Meaning that I would never tnr/back comb/stop combing, unless THEY wantedto. Second, Do they still like to get dirty and have no self control? That's still too young.

If they are mature enough to understand that letting their hair lock is not going to be easy for them (kids making fun of them, teachers thinking they are dirty, stares from strangers), then go for it. If you are worried about how they will respond to societies view, I'd wait.

Growing locks may be the easiest and most healthy way to take care of your hair, but it does take a lot of maturity that most children do not have before 10 or so

you could get some pure aloe. Take a little and palm roll in onto each lock. as if dries it'll shrink and pull in those loose frizz's.

I was wondering if pure organic peppermint oil goes moldy or something? ill dilute it with water and still the next day i wake up smelling something weird om top of the peppermint. It really helps wi

Dread Maintenance

it's oil. oil doesn't get moldy.

How often do you spray? It could be that every time you spray, you're getting your hair a little wet. you really should keep it dry unless you are washing it.

Introduce Yourself

That's really sweet. My grandmothers dying wish was for me to learn to dance. She always loved to herself. So my girlfriend and I am learning to swing dance for our wedding dance.

My girlfriend kept her locks in an envelope for years. They never unraveled. You shouldn't have to worry about that. It's just a matter of choice where you want to keep it

Getting my Whole head done soon very stoked but...

Dreading Methods

washing wont get the wax out. There's a method up top under dreaducation that outlines the best way to remove it. it deals with dawn dish soap and boiling water. You've got to soak each lock for a few minutes in the water to melt the wax. It can take some time. multiple attempts over a period of weeks to months. It's worth it though. You wont have to worry about rot, mold, or random bits of lints and crap getting stuck to your hair
