I read in one thread that for a litre of water, 10 tbsp of baking soda.. That seems like it would be completely saturated. And adding actual oil to a hair wash when I want my hair to become less oily never made sense to me..
Ahh, I can't remember.. The biggest jug I could find is 2L, so I think I worked it out relative to SE's post. With a couple of drops of Tea Tree or Rosemary oil. Didn't use to much, didn't help with the oiliness..
"A sales order of $10.00 to $30.00 ships for a flat rate of $16.95 anywhere in the world." I can't really justify spending $27 on a bar of soap, guess I'll just try the BS wash again haha.
I don't suppose you know anywhere that ships from the UK? $17 shipping is a bit much for me.
Also, which dread shampoo do you reccomend? I liked the baking soda wash, but like I said, my head just didn't feel clean.
My hair's a lot shorter now, almost touching my shoulders, think I'm gonna just go natural. Hopefully it'll be successful. Using the neglect method, how long do you think it would take to get to the stage I was at before?
When I had dreads.. About twice a week.. Every 3~ days, depending on whether I was going out or not. I do have quite oily hair anyway, but it got to a point where my scalp never felt clean.
I remember last time wishing I had started natural. Next time I wash I'll go back to the baking soda wash. I don't brush or comb my hair anyway, and it's pretty un-knotted, but I'll give it a go.
I dunno, it wasn't so much the messyness, I don't mind it looking wild and stuff, it was just the oily sections of hair that I couldn't get clean, the tiny, thin dreads that looked awful and the sectioning. What's the best length to start the neglect method?
