Ok I just started dreading and now my hair it's growing out from last time I dyed my hair can I dye my hair it grows with dreads?or should I just go back to natural color ?

Dreading Methods
I am new to the dreading so new I don't have any yet but I'm going to do the t&r methods to stay them then let them go with the neglect method. So here's my question. Because I have short hair I want to have long dreads attached to the ends of my baby dreads once they've started going hoe would I do that o is that even a good idea?
