dying dreads?

General Questions

thanks guys. I'm going to be dying them brown and some pink to match my fringe. I might wait one more month though just to be on the safe side.

dying dreads?

General Questions

hi guys, I'm wanting to dye my dreads to match my natural hair colour now, with maybe a few pink ones here and there, so how long can I wait before I can dye them? I don't want theconsistencyof the dye making them fall out or anything. they're two months old natural, and are very knotty atm, please watch my latest video to see what they're like :) thanks x

Help on washing.

Dread Maintenance

Yeah I know that's what I used. Still made my hair feel really greasy :/

You mentioned you used Simpe. Did you use the shampoo or the soap bar? It's the actual bar of soap that people use on their dreads.

Help on washing.

Dread Maintenance

I used Dr bronner's and my hair was soooo greasy afterwards! like it was just unbearable and my hair stank really bad :/ I don't know why, everyone was telling me my hair smelt disgusting. I diluted it 12-1 like you said and washed it out thoroughly. I don't know what else to try cause I really don't wanna mess around with baking soda. anyone know any soaps I can buy on a budget that will get my hair clean without any residue? I'm from the UK so I need something I can buy here. and I don't have a lot of money to spend on soap! thanks for any help.

nervous about ruining me baby dreads??

Dread Maintenance

I wash them like every 2-3 days, with residue free soap :/ I don't know what soap to get though cause in the UK we don't have the soaps that you suggest so I'm trying to find an alternative I can buy at my local shops.

nervous about ruining me baby dreads??

Dread Maintenance

hey it's me again! I'm a week in and my hair is already really knotty! I've been told it'll dread fast, but I'm nervous about washing my hair still. I've washed it twice so far, and each time it always looks like it's going to go back to normal hair state and won't stayseparated. I've put some beads on the biggest ones now just to make sure they don't go back again. anything that can help? or any words of advice? thanks :)
