What I'm nervous about when going the natural route is keeping that much hair seperated. I planned on using tnr more so as a seperation type thing, because I have sooooo much super fine hair. I couldn't imagine trying to keep my hair in 30+ little sections naturally.

I've been wanting to dread my hair for a long time, but never took the plunge. Now that we have #2 on the way we've decided I'll be a stay at home mom. (Yay!) So I'm finally free to have dreads (I was in teaching) and I'm super excited! However, I'm also nervous because I feel like I have the worst hair ever for dreads. I have a lot of super fine, bone straight, and almost waist length hair. My hair can't hold a curl let alone anything else. I was planning on doing the twist and rip method and was hoping for some advice when it comes to sectioning, care, and such. I was also planning on spraying with sea salt water as I go because my hair is super soft and slick? I'm really sort of lost when it comes to my hair type, and keeping it locked in the early stages. Any tips would be awesome, sorry to be so long winded! 
I'd suggest a menstrual cup if you're wanting to go the internal route. They generally hold up to 12 hours, and don't have the TSS and other chemical problems associated with tampons. Some popular types used in the reusable menstrual products world are also the MeLuna, Lunette, or Skoon.
I personally use reusable menstrual pads. I just prefer them in general, and I'm not worried about any potential chemicals. In reality the fibers are washed over and over and over drastically reducing chemical exposure. Not to mention they're external so about as risky as wearing panties or clothing. There's TONS of brands that offer organic fabrics as well. I make and sell my own, although my Etsy shop (Mother Grimm Moon Tides) is on hold due to some pregnancy problems. Other than my own I highly recommend Pampered Mama, Yurtcraft, and FigLeavesPads.
Reusable products have completely changed my life, I seriously LOVE them. If anyone is ever interested I'm also part of a great group on Facebook that's dedicated to reusable menstrual products.
I sent an email to the contact us link. I also read lavender should be avoided in first trimester because it effects your uterus and menstruation. Hopefully I won't have any problems after that though. I was so ridiculously excited. I'm going to be uber bummed if I have a reaction. Darn pregnancy and all it's crazy sensitivities. Lol
Eek! Now I'm super paranoid. I just bought (like ten minutes ago) the Goddess Shampoo Bar and Karma Magic Locking Gel...
The Locking Gel has, pine & lemongrass. The Shampoo Bar doesn't have a list of the essential oils. :/
This totally sucks. I knew some were off limits, but I didn't know there was THAT many. Any clue how to find out what's in the Goddess Bar?
