Missing out on the journey? Tempted to undo TnR...

Dreading Methods

Thanks soaring eagle youre right its my decision just getting myself worried over nothing. Think I probably will take them out and start over. I dont want to have any regrets so better to sort it out now 3 weeks down the line than a year or 2 when theyre mature and still be regrettinig t. When I tnr my hair was about 4 inches but now guess its getting on to 6 inches (Biotin is aking it grow really fast) so should start to notice it locking up naturally now.

And Kaarlie Birdie had a look at your timeline looks like your dreads are showing really good progress =] Do you ever regret doing tnr now?

Missing out on the journey? Tempted to undo TnR...

Dreading Methods

I did tnr about 3 weeks ago and love how my hair looks but feel like Im cheating and missing out on part of the journey.

Most of my tnr has come out completely at the back and the rest loosened up by themselves but the ones that stayed tight I loosened them a little but they just go back to how they were. I know if theyre too tight they wont dread properly so thats another reason why Im thinking of taking them out and starting over going completely natural.

On the other hand my hair is so fine, straightand not very long so feel like it wont dread. But a friend on here has similar hair to me (bit longer but he said its fine and straight) and hes made much more progress than I expected in 2 and half months.

I dont want to feel like Im cheating or missing out or whatever but at the same time feels like its unproductive to take them out plus I love how they look now and dont want to go back to my boring, straight hair =[

Anyway just wondered what people have to say about this and what you think I should do?

Beginning Dreadlock Help!!!

Dread Maintenance

Dont crochet at all leave them be theyre meant to unravel or losen so they can knot naturally. If theyre too tight they will never form proper dreads theyll juse be like braids. All youve done is create the sections for the dreadlocks to form from so theres nothing wrong with your technique and youre better off checking that they arent too tight rather than worrying about them coming out. =]

1 week old dreads-hopefully the start of an amazing journey!

Dread Maintenance

yeh to begin with I just used bs because I didnt have acv but other people have said to me like.. after using just bs for a while it fries their hair and theyve had to repair the damage caused by it. Using just bs until you can get holdof acv will be ok though thats what I did anyway =]

yeh you need to do the acv rinse afterwards but you dont need much, dilute in water, put it in your hair then wash out straight away (best with coldest water you can) and dont palm roll just leave them be if you want your hair to grow quicker take a biotin supplement I was like you and started with short hair about 4 inches but my hair is growing like crazy since taking biotin. The tnr is supposed to loosen and most will come out its better that this happens than them being too tight or they will never form proper locks.

Late Intro

Introduce Yourself

Probably being stupid but DLS?

Why did yours not feel right? I must admit I felt pretty stupid the first few days as they were sticking out everywhere but they felt fine apart from some being too tight but Ive now loosened them. Most of mine came out by themselves and the rest I almost completely undone because like you I changed my mind and decided I wanted to go more natural but seemed a waste to completely comb out as they had started going frizzy and forming their own knots and stuff so yeh. And I cant afford to get stuff from that site yet - the shipping is too expensive and to make it worth while Id have to buy quite a bit and being unemployed its just not possible at the moment. I have ordered some essential oils though to use along with the bs/acv wash but Im planning to spray these on as oppose to washing with them. =]
