New dread are realy itchy...i whant to wash em, but i dont know is it ok..?

Dread Maintenance

Well, i know its bad way to get dreads, but you now...half people in this world who dont get dreads naturaly make them with crochet, and i didn't heard anywhere exept here, that this is so bad...so i coudn't knew the damage...but i think i wount wash my head to make my new dreads gone...i will wash em with baking soda, ill try to use aloe and etc, but no, i wount destroy there dreads.

Also, you sayd "let them get messy and hope they are gone so they can dread right" by this you mean let my hair get normal again (wash them and destroy my new made dreads?), and then start to use bakingsoda for hair wash and wait till i get my dreads naturaly...it will take ages, and by then, after seeing my head all messy i may not want em anymore and i will have to cut of hairs...and it takes alot of time...im not predictable men, so i never can know what/where and when i will do somehting..

Need advice for totaly new dreadlocks dude!

crochet and dread tools recovery

Hello all!!! So 2 days back got dreads made by crochet. Im not very happy of that, because i only today found this forum and read that crochet hook is very bad for hairs. BUT im very happy that i found out about that now, just in beggining of my journey to new dreads! So i have few questions about my dreads maintanance (:

So first of i would like to know, how often from now i should wash my dreads? A guy who made my dreads told me i should do once every week, is it okey?

Second, i would like to know how to make them more soft and nice? (i know that from now i shouldn't touch them and let me be messy and after some time they will become nice natural dreads, but i live not in the right place and not with the right ppls that i could be with messy hairs at the moment)

Also i would rely love to maintanance them somehow...i know i can't use crochet, because it damage my hairs, but maybe there is any other way to help them not to be very messy? (my hairs are very straight, so i know that after 1month of doing nothing half of dreads will be lost and other half will be rely messy)

And i should mention that my hairs are almost straight, so is it still possible they will become natural dreads after some times? Because i didn't used comb for 2 yaers, and washed my hairs about 2 time every week and they didn't become even close to anything like dreads, so maybe my hairs isn't good for dreads and i will never have them?

Im rely sorry for my terrible english, if you dont understand something, just ask me, and i will try explain in other way, peace (:

dread started in crochet can be neglected?

Dreading Methods

I will ask too, why should use sea salt? i read it helps to dread faster, and its good for hairs...and i have done my croched dreads only few days, so i think i wount need wait 6motnh till they will start to become normal healthy dreads...i was thinkign about few months of mess in hair, and bam! nice, natural, healthy dreads..? (bam! should sound like i think it will become instantly super nice dreads, just they will become more antural..?)

Sorry for terrible english, its not my born language (:

yes you can leave them alone they will dread but will take 6 months or longer to recover and startr to dread right

aloe not sea salt will help them soften up

u can make sea salt later whrn they are recovered
